Redesign of the website
A parish always has a lot to report. It provides information about current events and reviews highlights of parish life. A spiritual impulse should not be missing. The parish is also the point of contact for highlights in the personal life of each individual, whether baptism, marriage, blessing or funeral.
The history of the parish and its buildings often goes back centuries. There is also a lot to tell about this.
We were commissioned by the municipality to present this extensive content in a new design on the website. The layout of the old website, which we created more than 10 years ago, no longer met the current requirements for aesthetics and functionality (responsive design). For the implementation of the new layout and the revised structure, we changed the CMS from Joomla to Contao 4.5, as the range of functions of the basic version is much more extensive, and we could therefore largely do without the installation of extensions.
The focus of the users is clearly on the parishioners, who use the website to get the latest information on events or news from parish life. In addition, outsiders can also gain an insight into the life of the congregation and its history, and quickly find the contact person they need to get in touch with.
